I was on my walk and this is what happened to me. I journal and write my prayers sometimes and this is what I wrote.
Agape Abba I love you so much! Thank You for the blessing you gave to me on my walk this morning. After not being able to voice what I wanted and not hearing really from you before half my walk was over I felt sad. Then I got to my half way point which I was not going to do today because I had not walked in two weeks. I got to the telephone pole where I turn around there leaning against the pole was a long stick. Gardy had been on my case about carrying a stick for protection against dogs, snakes and such. This thought came into my mind instantly. You were the only one who could have put it there and we have had some high winds so there was no way that stick should be standing up leaning on the pole. I had to do a double take to make sure what I was seeing was really there. So I picked up the large stick that was like a walking stick and started back to my truck praising You for Your protection. I was thinking that Gardy must have been praying for me. I continued to thank you. I heard dogs barking in the distance and wondered if that was what I was protected from. I saw a strange guy who walked by me, obviously not exercising and wondered if Your protection was from him. He was wearing a grey baseball cap and a pea coat the color the army uses. I could not get a good look at the color of his hair but it was light and curly. I had my sunglasses on they tend to show things in a different color. He was carrying a plastic basket which was weird. Anyway I almost got to the point where I was going to slow down to cool down before I got in my truck and You Abba the absolute wonderful God, friend, love of my life gave me the verse in psalms 23 that says “thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” I realized that the danger must be over. Wow did I get chills over this because not only did You protect me You comforted me beyond all reason. The large walking stick looks exactly like a staff! The ones I have seen in pictures look just like what You gave to me. Thank You so much Abba! You made my whole day, my whole week, and my whole Christmas.
