The Rhema Word: A word...Remember not to cast your pearls before swine or they will get trampled underfoot. The Question: Can you tell me what you mean by this? I know it is in the bible. But what does it mean to you?
The Answer: Jesus said in Matthew 7:6 “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.”
God has granted us through both birth and His Holy Spirit talents, abilities, and spiritual gifts; all of which were given for our use to bring Him glory. We must be careful how and with whom we use those gifts, talents, and abilities. Those individuals or groups, which cannot appreciate the beauty, need and necessity of the gifts, talents, and abilities God has given us, need to be avoided. It is poor stewardship to pour our time and efforts into people who do not value what God has given us to offer. The time spend laying our pearls, some of whom came at a great price, before swine is time taken away from laying them before those individuals hungry for all God’s good and wonderful gifts.
